Hey survivors,
First off — a quick apology from the team. We know it’s been a little while since the last update post on the website, and we appreciate your patience while we’ve been working behind the scenes to improve the server experience. ❤️
With that said, we’ve rolled out a fresh batch of mods to the NuperGaming Project Zomboid B42.16.3 server, focused on quality-of-life improvements, immersion, and some seriously powerful late-game gear.
🔧 Newly Added Mods
⚡ Reload Speed Fix
Gunplay just got smoother. This mod improves reload behaviour and timing, helping eliminate clunky or inconsistent reload speeds. In vanilla mechanics, reload speed is influenced by modifiers that can reduce reload time — this mod ensures those systems feel more responsive and reliable in real gameplay.
☣️ Adjustable Corpse Sickness
Ever died just from being around too many bodies? Yeah… same.
This mod gives us better control over corpse sickness, allowing adjustments to how quickly it builds up and how dangerous it is. In base gameplay, corpse sickness is unavoidable and can kill players simply from proximity— now it’s balanced for a fairer survival experience.
🎒 Legendary Backpacks
Inventory management just levelled up.
Legendary Backpacks introduce high-tier storage options with improved capacity and utility. These are ideal for long scavenging runs and late-game survival, giving players more flexibility without constant inventory juggling (a common pain point in vanilla gameplay).
👁️ Functional Contact Lenses
A small but immersive addition — contact lenses that actually serve a purpose.
These items enhance realism and character customization, giving players more options for managing vision-related traits and roleplay scenarios.
🗡️ Legendary Naginata
A powerful new melee weapon enters the apocalypse.
The Legendary Naginata offers extended reach and high damage potential, making it ideal for crowd control and safer zombie engagement compared to shorter weapons.
⚔️ Legendary Katana & Wakizashi
For those who prefer style and lethality.
These legendary blades build on the already deadly katana archetype — one of the highest-damage melee weapons in Project Zomboid — offering enhanced performance and a satisfying endgame combat option.
🧟 Final Notes
This update is all about refining gameplay feel while expanding late-game progression and immersion. Whether you’re optimizing your loadout, surviving longer corpse exposure, or slicing through hordes with legendary weapons — there’s something here for everyone.
As always, we’ll continue monitoring balance and performance, so keep the feedback coming in Discord.
Good luck out there… and try not to get surrounded. 😉
