If you’ve been along for the ride with NuperGaming’s Project Zomboid server, you’ll know we’ve always prioritized a tight, immersive survival experience. Today we’re thrilled to share the next evolution of our server: moving from a pure vanilla setup to a carefully curated Vanilla+ experience using mods.
This isn’t a shift to a full-modpack overhaul — we’re keeping the core Project Zomboid feel intact while adding quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and enhancements that don’t break immersion. Think vanilla with superpowers, not completely reinventing the game.
📦 Why Change from Vanilla?
Vanilla Project Zomboid is fantastic — the base game is deep, tense, and rewarding. But as our community has grown, so has the desire for:
